Join us for these two programs Friday morning at 10am CT. This is the final session of TNCO's 2021 Virtual Conference series.

Innovative Value-based Contracting and Alternative Payment Models Attendees will learn about the challenges and successes of Centene's Sunflower Health Plan. Topics include an overview of the program including specialized care coordination, rapid crisis response services, positive behavioral support training/initiatives and the Sequential Intercept Model Project in Kansas.

About Stephanie Rasmussen

Stephanie has over 30 years of hands-on, administrative, and managed care experience in the field of Long Term Supports & Services, including provision of services for persons with Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities, participation in the development of State Policy, consultation in the development of I/DD providers in California and Tennessee, and provision of managed care for Medicaid LTSS Populations in Kansas. She has a B.A. in Psychology as well as additional post-graduate studies in Human Development and Family Life from from the University of Kansas. Stephanie is Vice President of Sunflower Health Plan/Centene.



About Nanette Perrin 

Nanette is the Senior Director of Pathways, RCRS and Social Determinants of Health for Sunflower Health Plan. She has over 30 years of experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families; assessing and supporting quality of life and behavior supports. She has extensive experience in consultation; instruction and mentoring of professionals both pre-service and in-service; providing autism specific and positive behavioral supports consultation and training; administration of in home and center based intervention and teaching programs. Nanette possesses a PhD in Special Education as well as a Masters of Arts in Human Development and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral level (BCBA-D) and is licensed in Kansas and Missouri.   


There will be a 15-minute break between the morning's presentations.

Self-direction of Health Care Tasks and Updates from UnitedHealthcare - An overview of self-direction of healthcare tasks proposed in the IDD Integration and updates on UHC workforce development initiatives.

About Michelle Jernigan

Michelle is the Executive Director of Long-term Services and Supports (LTSS) with UnitedHealthcare of TN. Michelle's career in LTSS began in college where she worked as a direct support professional and found her passion helping others. She has supported people with intellectual, developmental or physical disabilities and older adults for more than 30 years. Michelle's experience spans time with non-profit organizations, case management, consumer direction programs, the TN state Medicaid Agency-TennCare and a technology enabled LTSS innovations company. In her role with UnitedHealthcare, she oversees operations of the CHOICES, ECF CHOICES and IDD programs and services including services to individuals enrolled in Medicare dual-eligible, fully-integrated special needs plans.


About Nichelle Johnson

Nichelle is the Workforce Development Coordinator with UnitedHealthcare of TN. Prior to joining UHC, Nichelle was the Assistant Program Director with Workforce Essentials, managing a team of 18 coordinators who assisted individuals with pursing High School Equivalency Diplomas, Basic skills upgrade, and job placement. Nichelle was also able to forge relationships with state partners and has been able to leverage her network in her current role with UHC. Nichelle leads Workforce Development efforts and provides direct assistance to Tennessee providers as well work collaboratively with our partner MCOs to implement statewide workforce development initiatives. She recently earned the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business.
