National Trends In Value-based Purchasing Attendees will learn about the growing inclusion of Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) in payment structures for I/DD services. Presenters will set the stage for deeper discussion on the use of VBP across the country and where the promising practices are emerging.

Elements for Implementation of Value-based Purchasing - What you Need to Know Attendees in this session will learn about readying their organization for operating in a VBP or Alternative Payment Model paradigm. The session will explore the enhanced role of quality outcome measures and business practices that will assist a provider organization in this new contracting environment.

About Donna Martin
Donna has worked in the field of providing supports and services to people with developmental disabilities for over 30 years. She began as a weekend DSP while in college and over time, she has held positions at every level of service provision. Prior to joining the ANCOR staff, Donna served as the Executive Director of Community Provider Network of Rhode Island (CPNRI) for 14 years. CPNRI is an association of 22 member agencies that provide supports and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. In that role, Donna was a long-standing member of ANCOR, and before joining the staff served   as the State Association Executives representative to the ANCOR board. Donna has a BA from Providence College and an M.Ed. from Rhode Island College. She is also a 2009 graduate of Leadership RI, Epsilon II.

 
About Joan W. Martin
Joan has an extensive background in home and community-based services to people with disabilities and seniors. Prior to becoming a consultant with XtraGlobex, Inc., Joan was a Senior Associate at Wojdak Government Relations, and Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy of Pennsylvania. A Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, native, she holds a bachelor's degree in Social Welfare and a Master of Management in Healthcare Administration from the Pennsylvania State University

Fady is President of XtraGlobex Inc., the company he founded in 2001 to consult with community providers, ACOs and services organizations to build competitive advantage. The firm focuses managed care supports in aging, physical and intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health through strategy and communications. Fady holds an MBA in Marketing and a PhD in Leadership and Organizational Development.
